Monica is…in the Cocopit.

Reading Nylon Magazine, it’s hard not to notice these amazing illustrations done by, Coco Pit. Her images are both dreamy & soft, almost as if they had pulled out of Sofia Coppola’s Virgin Suicides. A renowned consultant for various fashion houses, magazines & websites, Coco’s success continues to follow. Forget Me Not, her gorgeous personal line of scarves is currently being sold at Barneys & many other worldwide specialty boutiques. I love art you can wear!

Monica is…bringing you more glorious fashion week!

Here’s some more favorites from Mercedes-Benz Fashion week in NYC…I had quite a few looks that I really enjoyed from the other batch of shows later in the week, but the whole Phillip Lim show was stunning!

Monica is…sillyness & housewares.

I think if I could have a dream house, it would definitely be a mid-century modern paradise. It would be spacious, airy, yet filled with fun pieces like the ones below.  I love when artists make such improvements on simple things. I quite enjoy the sillyness in these items & remind me that letting lose & being a kid ain’t so bad.

Monica is…leather luxe & shiny things.

Paris-born, Barbara Bui always leaves me wanting more. Her fall 2009 runway show had soo many great looks & just reafirmed my desire for the heat way to be way over. Mixed with shiny leathers, short dresses, & studded boots the collection had some enviable pieces that I hope somebody mimics these into more affordable fashion…love*

Monica is…dreaming of a homelife with central air.

So, through these miserable hot days in LA, I have been dying in my apartment. It’s a quaint place, but it has no air-conditioning! Aside from checking out fashion blogs, magazines, & sipping iced coffee, I grew misty eyed thinking about the demise of Domino Magazine. I loved flipping through the many spreads & wondered how I was going to replace this monthly joy? Months later, I found the perfect (yet pricey) alternative, Living etc! Too bad it’s a British publication. Here are just a few of my favorite shots. I dream of the day when owning a home will be possible & having a walk-in closet is a must! F-you stuffy apartment!
