Monica is…caught on a coastal break.

Aside from the usual obsessions I have (fashion, blah, blah), I love graphic design imagery. I think it’s one of the most interesting & complicated forms of art out there. When it’s good (because everyone wants to be an “artist”) it’s actually really beautiful. There is so much layering involved in just one image & quite frankly it’s mind blowing especially if your work is Scott Hansen’s. His images have that uncanny, sleepy vintage look that reminds me of Sofia Coppola’s Virgin Suicides haze. Piece after piece is stunning & rich with colors, pretty enough to framed. Bonus*— Scott makes music too, under the name Tycho & his song Coastal Break is the perfect anthem for driving on a typical LA day!

the haze in Lost*… still one of my favorite movies of all time

Monica is…in the Cocopit.

Reading Nylon Magazine, it’s hard not to notice these amazing illustrations done by, Coco Pit. Her images are both dreamy & soft, almost as if they had pulled out of Sofia Coppola’s Virgin Suicides. A renowned consultant for various fashion houses, magazines & websites, Coco’s success continues to follow. Forget Me Not, her gorgeous personal line of scarves is currently being sold at Barneys & many other worldwide specialty boutiques. I love art you can wear!
