Hope your 4th of July was filled with booze, friends & food! I took a brief hiatus, after consuming what seemed like mounds of meat, salsa, chips. Unfortunately, its time to get back into the grind…well…one more beer ;)

plump as these little piggies
I am certifiably handbag obsessed. I love them so much. You could look like absolute poo, but if your posh bag is on your arm, all is forgiven. So, I have decided to start a blog post showing off drool worthy handbags from my web hunting. It could be a weekly thing, but it could quickly change to a daily thing once all the Fall ’09 bags arrive! For now, I’m charmed with these…

the trademark lips stamped on the "zooey" glasses
The release of 500 Days of Summer starring Zooey Deschanel & Joseph Gordon Levitt- is around the corner, & I can’t wait to see it when it arrives in theaters. So, in honor of my little “style crush”, I can’t help but post Zooey’s Oliver Peoples ad from a few months back. Its a great mini-movie, Catch A Tuesday directed by Autumn De Wilde…who by the way is also an incredibly talented photographer. (Beck, Elliot Smith, Rilo Kiley, etc.) Her frequent wardrobe changes courtesy of stylist Shirley Kurata, make this interactive ad a joy to watch! Did I mention I want all of those sunglasses.
It’s been a tough week of celebrity news…The last time I remember such an outpour was when Princess Diana died & for months TV, magazines, books & any type of media had her face plastered all over. I expect the next few weeks to be the same, with the passing of Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, & the bizarre death of Billy Mays. I think the most interesting thing about Michael’s death, is the many generations laced with stories, memories & devotion to the “King of Pop”. Every single person I’ve spoken to, can recollect a story or a profound experience involving his music, his persona or his scandal. It is shocking & mind blowing how anyone “larger than life” always has such a tragic existence & Michael will probably remain one of the most prolific deaths of my generation.
Via her blog website, Jane Aldridge announced her super secret Urban Outfitter’s collaboration. She’s been hinting at it for months & I’m finally glad to see solid shot’s for the designs. You can definetly see where her inspiration came from & effectively channels Ann Demeulemeester. It’s really inspiring to see a blogger be shot into mainstream status in a positive way. Congrats Jane!
