It’s chilled a bit in L.A. I’m so excited about wearing sweaters, coats & hoping for a glimmer of rain! Waking up to clouds & cool winds reminds me of hot chocolate, curling up with a good book, & that the holidays are around the corner. Just a few shots of faves for the fall…

Monica is…slackerville USA.
Oh man, sorry for the lack of posts. I’ve been so frustrated with my computer’s incompetence that it has literally deterred me from posting, but I will try to keep up on the things I’ve been musing about. Until I find a bag of money, I will still have to use this one. Ugg. On the bright side, while I was at work staring off into space, this woman came in (who unfortunately was bat shit) with the coolest bag I’ve seen in a while. I tried not to stare at her for too long for fear of looking creepy, but she was walking out & I had to ask who it was by. I can usually tell from a mile away what bag is which, but this one was undistinguishable & I loved that about it.It was faux leather & the hardwear was simple & stylish. She told me it was Stella McCartney & sadly couldn’t remember anything about that bag, which was disappointing. It meant I had no name in which to search with & combing the internet turned up nothing…oh well. I hate when that happens! I’m relentless when I get something in my head! Although, I did manage to find a few favorites from Stella McCartney’s Spring 2010 show…so girly & pretty!

Monica is…in the Cocopit.
Reading Nylon Magazine, it’s hard not to notice these amazing illustrations done by, Coco Pit. Her images are both dreamy & soft, almost as if they had pulled out of Sofia Coppola’s Virgin Suicides. A renowned consultant for various fashion houses, magazines & websites, Coco’s success continues to follow. Forget Me Not, her gorgeous personal line of scarves is currently being sold at Barneys & many other worldwide specialty boutiques. I love art you can wear!

Monica is…clouds & Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week!
It finally got cloudy here in L.A. & from what I understand it was the same in NYC. Over the weekend, I decided that if I couldn’t actually travel to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, I’d just pretend to. I purchased a ticket for The September Issue with Anna Wintour, watched Lagerfeld Confidential & viewed most of the shows in pajamas! Here are just a few of my favorites from spring 2010…but I absolutely loved Zac Posen’s collection!
